It is a profound honor to welcome you to The 8th International Conference of Vocational Education, Applied Science and Technology (ICVEAST 8th). Organized by the Vocational Education Program, Universitas Indonesia, and co-hosted by The Vocational School of Universitas Diponegoro, continuing our long-standing commitment to fostering global dialogue and innovation within the realm of applied sciences.
The theme for this edition, “Technology-Enabled Sustainability: Advancing Green Skills in Applied Sciences,” addresses one of the most critical imperatives of our time. As the global community navigates the complexities of climate change and resource scarcity, the role of vocational education has never been more pivotal. We are no longer merely training for technical proficiency; we are cultivating a generation of professionals equipped with “green skills”—the specialized knowledge, abilities, and values needed to support a sustainable and resource-efficient society.
This conference serves as a multidisciplinary platform where researchers, practitioners, and policymakers converge to explore how emerging technologies can be harnessed to drive environmental stewardship. From digital transformation in industrial processes to sustainable innovations in healthcare and social sciences, our discussions will highlight how applied sciences provide practical, scalable solutions for a greener future.
